D.O. vs. MD interview question

Say you were interviewing at an allopathic medical school and the interviewer asked you, "So why M.D. and not D.O?" How would you answer that question if you were assuming the wife and mother of the interviewer were D.O.'s (so you couldn't immediately talk about the stigma that some might say are attached to being a D.O)?

I asked my premed advisor the very same question and she told me to say that I don't subscribe to the osteopathic manipulation method. She advised me to read up on it a little so I could talk about it in more detail if necessary.
