nonclinical volunteering and barely any clinical experience that isn't shadowing are major issues. The latter could be helped with the clinical research but only if it's actually working with patients. I'm expecting others will recommend a gap year.

I think they just want help with a school list - not recommendations on strengthening esp given limitations with COVID 19
For reference, I was accepted to 7 MD schools when I applied 4 years ago with a 3.5/502 and had NO clinical experience.
