D1's...When do you start?

So every time someone asks when I'm starting school and I tell them the end of July they all respond with "That's really early...isn't it??" I'm assuming it's on the early side, but I'm not sure. Just curious when all you other D1's are starting.

Harvard Dental- Pre-orientation- ~August 12th till August 15th.
Orientation and Intro the the profession- August 17th till August 28th.
Actual classes- August 31st.

I did get a MASSIVE summer break between high school and OSU undergrad, it was amazing - I forgot everything I'd ever learned. Out of high school May 10, 4 months off, good times.

Nowadays though I wish we would start early, I just want to get in there and start learning (and quit my job!). It's soooo far away
