1. The highest and sharpest cusp on the deciduous mandibular first molar is the
a. mesiolingual
b. distolingual
c. mesiobuccal
d. distobuccal

answer: a (Booklet I-A)

The decks say that the mesiobuccal cusp is the largest, which led me to think that the answer would be c.

Can anyone confirm that "a" make sense?

Thanks!

there is a difference between largest (size) and longest ( height)..... both the decks and papers are correct.

then does this mean that mandibular molars lean distally and lingually?
i remember decks said mandibular molars lean distally and lingually but then i was doing questions and for same question the answer was mandibular molars lean MESIALLY and lingually....which one is correct?

I remember that card too...i think it was wrong....mand molars lean lingually and mesially....jus think of the curve of spee...the root is curved distally, bt the crown is definately tipped mesially...

and the original question....the key is right

@shuntyman....decidous max longest is MB cusp, not ML...im holding a card that says (for the primary max 1st molar) "The MB cusp is always the longest. the ML cusp is the second longest, but sharpest."

you guys can you please share what your score is/was on pilot paper L? i calculated mine and i got a 80% raw score...im erlaly really upset. ive been studdying really hard and 80% is less than what i deserve. and exam is in 10 days. please advise what to do.

kaplan says the mesiobuccal cusp is the largest but the mesiolingual cusp of the primary mandibular 1 molar is the longest and sharpest
