Hi all,
I am stuck on a particular question while studying for the Canadian dental board exam, does anybody have any thoughts on this one?

A survey of the master cast shows that the 3.5 and 3.7 abutments for a fixed partial denture have different paths of insertion with respect to 3.7. A semi-precision attachment is chosen rather than preparing the teeth again. Where should the male part of the attachment ideally be located?
A. Distal of the 3.5 retainer.
B. Distal of the 3.6 pontic.
C. Mesial of the 3.7 retainer.
D. Mesial of the 3.6 pontic.

Thanks in advance for the explanations!

B. Distal of the 3.6 pontic

Reason being is that it sounds like the molar (3.7) is the tooth that has an unusal path of insertion (likely tilted) requiring the use of a non-rigid connector set up for the bridge. So you would put the single crown onto the molar (3.7) according to its unique path of insertion and then use the semi-presion attachment to connect it to the remaining portion of the bridge which follows the more ideal path of insertion of the premolar (3.5)
Here is a pic and link to a youtube vid that explains it. Go to the 7 min mark
