Can anyone explain this to me please? Card #141 in the dental anatomy decks states.... "Pronounced developmental grooves are usually associated with embrasures b/w maxillary canines and 1st PM's and mandibular canines and 1st PM's".

I don't understand what they are saying here... maybe my brain is fried :bang: and I need to call it a night but are they saying there's a depression on/in the embrasure or what? Thanks for any help in clarifying this for me. Good luck to all studying!

The maxillary 1st PM has a deep developmental concavity on the mesial side and the mandibular 1st PM has a mesiolingual groove running gingivally. So maybe this is what they are talking about.

Oh okay. I knew that but for some reason I thought they meant like on the interdental papilla or within the embrasure itself. Funny how things make more sense in the morning! Thanks twinklestar!
