Hey, so I've just received my new DAT scores and I'm now starting to get really nervous. Could someone please let me know how I stand.

I am a second time applicant to Dal Dentistry, and a Maritime resident,
I had an interview last year, but was ultimately rejected,
I have gone back to school to upgrade 5 courses, in which I got 5 A's
My GPA for my last 20 credits is now a 3.71 (I had 4 B+ in my 4th year)
My higher science GPA (mico, biochem, and physiology) is 4.0 (3 A's)
I wrote my DATs twice (Nov '08, Feb '09) and my best scores are as follows
RC: 22
Bio: 19
Chem: 18
TS: 19
AA: 20
PA: 21
Carving: 19

Please let me know if you think I stand a better chance this year? I've been working really hard and I'm really starting to freak-out now. Thanks

i don't know what was your previous scores, and i'm assuming you are talking about Dalhouse university. however, the scores you posted are really good. the fact that they offered you an interview last year means that you have a pretty good chance this year. you should ask the school why they rejected you, that way you can be more goal centered. but personally i think you have a good chance, especially if you are resident of Atlantic Provinces of Canada. hope the best of luck to you

OP, are you only applying to one school?? Pretty cocky if you are 😉

You might as well throw out some applications to American dental schools: Buffalo, NYU, Detroit Mercy, Tufts, BU, ect.

I applied to 8 American schools and have not been offered an interview at any. I never even got a response from Boston or NYU.

Since I am from New Brunswick Dal is really my only good chance.
