I was on academic probation for the last semester. Now I am on academic suspension. Honestly, this was a huge shocker- I didnt think I was doing so badly in school. I have never done badly in school, since highschool I've gotten straigt A's. In highschool I did not study at all, so I thought I could mannage college w/o studying, but evidently not 🙁 I really belive if I study I can get straight A's as the material is only difficult if you dont pay attention and dont study, both of which I will do if I have a favourable chance to get into pharm school.

I've taken bio/chem/math 1 &2 , psyc 1, stats 1, phy 1, orgo 1, eng 1. So thats like ~40 credits.

I just dont study, thats my problem. Now that Im undergoing suspension, I will definetly study.

I d just like to get some opinions on what my chances are for pharm school assuming i get a great PCAT score and avearge A's and B's starting next semester. I still have 80 credits to complete.

thanks for you're opinions

You should be fine if you pick your grades up to all A's and B's and a good Pcat score. How exactly bad is your cumulative gpa after these 40 credit hours?

pharmacy schools love trends. if you get a good PCAT and consistently good grades you should be fine

i transfered to a university from a junior college with a 3.16 GPA....i have a 3.82 @ the university...just make sure you have a good reason for why your grades were low during your first 40 units

one more thing...just make sure you get good grades in your prereq classes

University of Minnesota will be for you... Their mimimum GPA considered is 3.20 for the most recent 60 semester credits. Since you still need 80 more credits, I think you can make it to pharmacy school if you have all A's, some B's, and a great PCAT score of 90+. Good luck!
