Has anyone taken the Dannemiller Annual Anesthesiology Review Course, located at San Antonio, Texas? See http://www.dannemiller.com/ if you have not heard of it. I am looking into review courses for the boards and I was hoping that someone who has taken it might comment about it. Was it worth the money and time? Thanks!

It is moderately good as a "board review" course. It is excellent as a practice refresher course or update course. Lots of good topics and speakers. It does not seem to be geared specifically towards board review as Jensen and Rashad are. Just my two cents.

I went to it and thought it was great

I agree with Gern tho, I didnt feel it was a board review, but was a great refresher in general and was very interesting.

I took the Dannemiller course and found it to be of no help in studying for boards. Jensen knows what is on the test and focuses only on what you will see on the test. The Dannemiller course has no board focus other than the pure speculation of the individual lectures who took the test five or ten years ago but have no clue as to what is currently being tested. When I took the Dannemiller course they promoted it as both a written and an oral board review if you wanted to pay for the oral portion you could get a oral exam or two after sitting through the same unfocused lectures.

The Dannemiller course is a fair review of anesthesia for a practicing anesthesiologist however when I took the course they like Jensen were promoting it as a board review so they had not attempted to get CME certification for the course.
