Anyone know anything about Dartmouth's peds program? I like its size, location etc but know nothing about it.

Thanks,
Zedpol

I interviewed at dartmouth last year and have nothing but good things to say about the place. its a extremely beautiful brand new hospital with great mostly harvard / dartmouth trained attendings who are all very brilliant and nice. Its a great general peds training program with almost no fellows anywhere to "get in the way" of your general peds training. I remember them saying that you can even do electives at boston childrens and many of the residents graduate to go to boston childrens for fellowships because of their very strong connection. Its in a great part of the country if ur an outdoors kinda person and like being in that part of the country which is the only reason more people dont go there. i could probably go on and on why i really liked it and im sure most people would say the same.
good luck

thanks for the reply, another program on my list 🙂

Don't some students from Dartmouth rotate at Children's Hospital of Orange County for their Peds rotation? If so, do any of them like it enough to go there instead of Boston?

Do you have any idea of how competitive their peds program is? specifically, what kind of board scores they prefer and if you saw any IMG's during your interview process? thanks

Competitive?
maybe but not super competitive. I would say average scores might get you at least an interview.

My 2 cents:
If you think you even a little interested in some place dont hesitate to apply. Its well worth the investment.

good luck
