Can I take a look at flash card during the 15 min break in real DAT? what about a some lunch?

Although I took lunch with me, I was too nervous to eat. I decided to take only about 5 min break and resumed!

all the practice tests have the break AFTER the PAT portion, is this also true on the real thing

You will not be able to look at anything. They strictly tell you before you even walk into testing room. You leave everything in a locker and can not touch you locker until after test, not even to grab your snack. At least that was the case in my center.
I guess you can have a few dolars with you to buy something, but they told me All I can have in my pocket is my ID and nothing else.

BTW, I would not think about eating lunch immediately before test or during break. reason one: "Rest and digest": you will get a bit slow and that is not what you want. You may also trow up or get dizzy due to being nervous. So eat some sort of slow release energy bar an hour prior IMO.

for my dat, I was able to eat, get things out of my locker, and look at flash cards.

and to answer a question earlier, yes, the 15 min break is after the PAT on the real test

you can if you want, but i'd advise bringing some airline shots and going through those instead. start partying - you're halfway done!

I am sure you can well at least my test center guy said i can look at stuff if i want during the 15 min break 🙂
