BIO BIO BIO!! bio was pretty hard. Here is my score breakdown..

PAT: 22 (93.4%)
QR: 19 (91.2%)
RC: 19 (52.2%)
Bio: 17 (49%)👎thumbdown👎thumbdown👎thumbdown
GC: 20 (79%)
OC: 24 (95.7%)
TS: 19 (75%)
AA: 20 (87.6%)

Wow...the bio had so many problems where I had to interpret the information. This is my 3rd time taking the DAT...sigh.... and the I have never scored so low in any of the Bio's that I took scoring a 21 and 22 consecutively in my first 2 tests.

The weird thing is that I've studied Bio the most (never skipped a day of flashcards, reviewed cliffs twice, Bio destroyer) and don't know how I managed to get a 17. I feel like most of the questions didn't have to do with the info from cliffs. I must say I am rather disappointed with how it turned out. Either I got a really hard bio section or just didn't perform well. the 49% explains that this test was not hard i guess..

I guess my question is (I probably know the answer already) is 17 a guarantee no interview for a 3.0 ogpa? This is the 3rd time I took the DAT and from what I understand, I can't take it again unless I get approval from prometrics? I already applied mid-july and have applied to the following schools:

Has anyone taken the DAT more than 3 times? My TS went down from a 21 to a 19 but AA went up. I wonder which sections schools look at.

you did good, congrats. You have very competitive stats regarding DAT but little below average on you ogpa. You will get interviews with those stats. You applied smartly. You bio score is not that bad.

Even though you took it 3rd time you are little above average with your dat score regards to AA. only b/c of bio you are average for TS. but you should be able to land some interviews.

I know how you feel with BIO. Last year I scored a 17 and spend the last two months studying either Cliffs, datQvault, or Destroyer daily and managed to go up to an 18 just yesterday. Just sucks how its the most important section and how heavily impacts the TS. You are right on when you say the problems involved interpreting the information. With your previous 21 and 22 schools have to understand how random BIO section is!

I think you have a really good chance. At this point your DAT is not a weak part of your application. Schools will see all of your test scores too so they won't think that you are not capable of doing well in biology with your other bio scores. Great job on rocking the other sections!

I just hope that the schools see that I've improved more scores from test 1 and 2. That bio is going to give me nightmares..now time to finish all my secondary apps within a week...NEVER ending lol
