I feel so good to be done with the DAT. This is my second time. My score is not so good but that's all I can do. I studied really hard after my first test plus taking full time class. Overall, I am happy with my score. Here is the score:
First Second

Bio 17 19
Gen 21 23
Org 20 22
RC 15 17
QR 16 17
PAT 18 18
TS 19 20
AA 18 20

OGPA 3.52 Sci GPA 3.72
This forum is very helpful. Thanks everyone!

DDSbh what did you do differently the second time for the dat and how long did you study weeks, months etc. I am in the same boat the first time I was taking courses. So i would like to improve me score significantly

After I took the first DAT, I knew I have to study more and more for biology because Biology on the DAT is so random and so broad. I put myself studied back right away. When the semester begun with 4 classes ( 3 science), I studied for DAT whenever I have free time after school. I have plant diversity class this semester that help me a lot in biology ( 2 questions about plants in my DAT and one of those was a picture). All the time I spent every day was for DAT (4hrs/ day and 8hrs/ days for one week before DAT) except some days before the test of my classes. You have to study hard and it will pay off.

very impressive improvements, congrats! your hardwork definitely shows, you've done all you can, the rest is up to the admissions.
Good luck

I used Cliff Bio, Destroyer 2009, CDM, Top Score and Achiever...
CDP for PAT... I think I practice more for PAT and feel confident with it when I took the sample ADA test 2009 ( got 20) dont know why I only got 18.. Oh well

Any improvement is a good improvement! Maybe your scores aren't the best, but showing an improvement in every section is an accomplishment on it's own. I think you definitely have a shot for some schools, solid GPA and nice extracurriculars I think will guarantee you a spot in at least a couple schools. Good luck the rest of the way!

Thanks for all the comments. I thought I have good EC, good letter recommendation and good dentistry experience. I've been in dental school in my country for 4 years( BDS program which is 6 years length) but I cant obtain the degree due to immigration with my family.🙁 I know it's late but still hope I can get into somewhere next year.

What reading did u have on second time

Nope, unless you do worse. They will see your other scores, but most schools just go by your most recent. I read somewhere, maybe the ada home page, that the average applicant takes the DAT at least twice.

That is true, in fact some dental school websites (Mercy) encourages you to retake it at an attempt to want to improve your original score
