I thought I would post my opinion of the test. I'm not an avid poster but I do read a lot on SDN.

PAT 21 - 93.9%
QR 16 - 52.3%
RC 19 - 53.9%
Bio 20 - 87.4%
GC 23 - 94.5%
OC 25 - 98.0%
TS 22 - 96.1%
AA 21 - 91.5%

Bio - I felt most of the questions were fairly easy, but I have also taken adv. cell bio and ecology which definatly helped. I'd say about 6 or 7 conceptual type questions but they weren't too bad. It would definatly help to take some more upper level bio classes for this part of the test. Campbell's bio for this works very well.

GC - Pretty much all conceptual but 2 or 3. Kaplan and destroyer for this. I was really glad it was mostly conceptual and I think that is why I did so well on this part.

OC - I thought it was very easy, but I really enjoyed Ochem classes. If you want a really good foundation for this use Organic Chemistry text by John McMury. I read the chapters when I was taking the classes and felt it really helped me.

RC - I used the read the question, scan for the answer method. Time was my only issue with this. I felt it was a bit harder than achiever. A few subjective what is the tone type questions.

QR - I'm not a math person and didn't prepare much for this. Lots of word problems and not a lot of time. Do not spend to much time on the ones you do not know how to do. Try to get as many of the ones you do know how to do first.

PAT - Use achiever and other practice tests for this. It will make this part easy. I felt really good about this section, but those darn angles are as bad as everyone says they are.

My study materials were Campbell's bio, destroyer, Organic text, Kaplan (however I did not use it that much), Schaum's bio (barely used and campbell's is way better), Barron's (just for PAT), topscore, and achiever. I also studied for 4-5 solid weeks and took a few days off before my test (I suppose I'm a bit different for not studying up until the last minute but i felt relaxed before the test).

Overall I feel pretty good and I am so glad it is over. Good luck to everyone else.

Would you say taking a lot of upper level science classes is almost mandatory to score over a 20 on the bio section? Or is Campbell's bio enough to score 20?
Thanks!

I feel campbell's will prepare you pretty well if you have time to read the chapters covered by the test. I feel this book lays everything out very well.

great scores, congrats!

i have a question about the bio section. how much plant stuff did you see and to what detail, if any?

any guidance would be great. thanks in advance.

congrats! Great scores, I'm just worried about that QR 16. I highly recommend retaking the Dats to boost up that section. If you could get a 19 it'll look a lot better.

Congrats man 😀
Ur scores are great and don't worry about the QR, there's no way that that will affect ur chances at getting in.... ur TS/AA/& PAT totally trump ur QR score 😎

Depends on the school. Im attended UOP undergrad and going to UOP dental. If you score 17 or lower, they ask you to retake it.

yeah i feel like i need some help studying for the bio....i dont like reading the kaplan blue book that much(but i do it anyway obviously).

what were the main bio topics u tried to focus on while studying

great scores BTW...wish i was in your shoes...
