I've never posted on here before but this site certainly helped me prepare for this test so I would like to help others out as well.
Here's how things turned out:
PAT 19 (67.8%)
QR 20 (94%)
RC 22 (84.4%)
BIO 20 (88%)
GC 21 (87%)
OC 22 (90.4%)
TS 21 (91.6%)
AA 21 (93.4%)
I am part of the SUNY Buffalo Early Assurance program and needed a 20/20/20 for AA/PAT/RC so I'm praying that this is acceptable.
Materials Used:
-KBB
-CDP
-DAT Destroyer
-Math Destroyer
-Barron's AP Bio
-Barron's AP Chem
-DAT Qvault
-Chad's GC videos
-Alan's Notes
Practice Tests: 2007 ADA, 1 DAT Achiever, Free online Kaplan, KBB test.
I started reading KBB, highlighting Barron's in mid-May according to the schedule posted on here. I started to stray away from it a little because I work at an oral surgeon 3x a week but it was a good outline to keep me motivated. Went through DAT destroyer and destroyer math for the next two weeks. Then did practice tests almost once a week in July. After that I went through Chad's which helped a lot on GC, re-did Destroyer twice and went through all of Qvault except for the RC.
CDP: I gradually increased my score from 18-21 as I went through the 10 tests.. I really struggled with this section at the beginning of my studies but improved on each test. Everything was similar to CDP on my test, if not easier, with the exception of keyholes. That was brutal, and probably where I screwed up.
Qvault: I averaged 19 for bio, 19 oc, 22 qr, 20 gc, and 23 from two rc
Advice:
-Don't take an Achiever test the week of your test. Though you know its supposed to be harder, it destroys your confidence and makes you second guess everything you know.
-Don't take the free online Kaplan test, its just a waste of time.
-Up until 3 weeks before my test I made sure to have fun at least once on the weekends so that I wasn't always stressed out.
-My Bio section was a complete crab shoot, try to do as much Qvault Bio and Destroyer Bio towards the end of your preparation as possible.
time to enjoy my last two weeks of summer.
