I am a Biomedical Engineering graduate student. I took the DAT when I graduated college in 2008 and made a 20 on it. But I did not get into a dental school. Now since I am almost done with my M.S. in Biomedical engineering I decided to give it another try for dental school but my scores had expired so I had to retake the DAT.

Perceptual Ability
I did not study for this section. However I did take the 2 Achiever tests (19 on both)
Quantitative resoning
I did about 50 questions on destroyer and I did well on them so I did not study it further.
Reading Comp
I have to read a lot of scientific articles so I thought that would be enough for this section. On the 1 Achiever test I took I made 15😱
Bio
I studied the most for this section. I did entire destroyer and reviewed what I missed, for the subjects that I was consistently getting wrong I went to the textbook.
General Chem
I did about 100 questions on destroyer. I did well on most of the questions except electrochemistry, so I went to the textbook for that section.
Organic Chem
I did the entire destroyer and went to the textbook for the subjects that I was consistently having trouble with. Chad's videos were pretty good too,
Textbooks I used (still had them from undergrad)
-Histology A Text and Atlas 5th ed.(just scanned through the pictures usually when taking a dump)
-Vander's Physiology 10th ed.
-Silberburg Chemistry 3rd ed.
-Smith Organic Chemistry 2nd ed.
-Although not a text book I did DAT Destroyer 2013 ed.
The studying was done all in 2 weeks. The last 4 days were near 15+ hours. All Achiever tests were done in the last two days to get the gist of PAT.
The night before I could not sleep. But finally around 5:30 am I got tired and went to sleep. Then woke up around 8 reviewed some biology and got to the center at 1pm to start at 1:30. I ate a lot of almonds, raisin and cashews while studying and ate a whole bag before I left for the testing center.
