My scores are:
PA: 18
QR: 14
RC: 18
Bio: 18
Gen. Chem.: 18
O. Chem.: 19
Total Science: 18
Academic Average: 17

SO I know I did really bad. What are the possibilities of getting into a Texas Dental School? I have an overall gpa: 3.5 science: 3.3

I work at a dental office and shadow at the same time.

So depressed right now

don't stay depressed long. you've got to get ready for a retake in 90 days. i don't know much about getting into texas schools, but your gpa is decent and your scores aren't far from being respectable. that gives you three months to review all of the material from your test today. take a few minutes to write down all of the concepts that you struggled with today and begin studying there. whatever you do, don't give up.

good luck.

Don't be depressed. As someone on the forums told me once, the DAT is the easiest thing to fix about your application. Be happy about this.

Tell us what you used to study, how long you studied for (days total, hours/day, days/week).

Well I had top score, kaplan dat, math destroyer, chad videos, crack dat pat. But I had two weeks of fully studying. I worked and studied at the same time so another two weeks of working. I spent all my time i could studying, but I couldnt retain much because work was a distraction. After studying for so long, I start to forget stuff I had studied from before. When I took the test, it felt so foreign to me and I ran out of time a lot.

Well that's your biggest problem! If you are going to be working then you need at least good 2-3 months to prepare yourself! Unless your an Einstein genius, you need way more than 2 weeks to prepare yourself. I had to take time off of work and studied full time From June 1st until August 15th and my scores are not the best! Use the 8-week DAT study schedule that include Chad's Videos and you should do good for your retake in 90 days!! You got this!!! 🙂

+1. IMO you actually put up incredible numbers for 2 weeks of preparation. I wouldn't panic, i would just crack them prep materials and set aside more time next go round.
