OMG my DAT is this Saturday & its so scary just the thought of it. This will be my retake. My first time I got an AA18 TS19 PAT20... RC brought me down. I have really studied but not to my fullest. I just don't know what to do for the next three days, I am so drained! Any advice?? My weak points as of now is RC & TFE(PAT)

There's nothing you can do at this point to increase your sci score; the concept is too broad that it's ok for you to forget some extremely detailed stuff.
However, 3 days ... now that's a lot for PAT/RC. You CAN practice and improve on TFE by doing a sh**ton of practice test right now. As much as I hated doing search and destroy for RC, I've come to realize that it's the easiest way to score 20+ on RC (I only had 2 tone questions out of 50). I don't even think it should be called reading comprehension, for there's really no benefit in reading or understanding the entire passage at all.

Good luck

When did you take your DAT? I used search and destroy for QVAULT. I was able to score a 21.

Is it really similar to QVAULT?

I took mine 2 days ago. I never tired qvault, only topscore and CDR. Topscore passage is harder, but the style is spot on. Search and destroy - don't need to understand the passage whatsoever. My bio is hard as hell, but I heard qvault bio is pretty good so you should be fine.

I did search and destroy but when I do that I get lost in the passage like can't find the answers but overskimming it. I usually just read it fast and then answer the questions, I think i know what the answers are but then my scores show otherwise. Gosh I had to study harder for the other sections so it can bring my aa up cause I know im not scoring no higher than an 18 inRC if lucky.

I really think its my attention span to reading. What if I take a half tablet of Nodoz before the RC section to keep me alert, is that a good idea??

I was never good at RC but search and destroy worked for me pretty well on the real DAT. I had the same issue as you did with getting lost in the passage but the passages on my actual DAT were not as bad as the passages in some of my practice tests that I took (kaplan, achiever). Your test is coming up pretty soon so my best advice is to try to relax as much as possible because I was super drained as well by the last week but taking it easy and resting mentally helped me get in the right mindset to take the exam. In terms of TFE I thought it was pretty similar to Crack DAT PAT and if you have that you can maybe go over those sections on that program just to keep things fresh. (but dont rely too heavily on the event counting method)

Ok so what did you score on your RC??? Its so unfair some people are just naturally good at this section without practice.
