achiever and top score gave me lower scores. but i admit they were very reflective for the reading, perceptual, and most of the science. im f'd for dental schools but we'll see
sorry i didnt mention this at the top
ima tell yall the truth. i started studying a week and a half ago, and nothing else. I would wake up, study, go hang out with my girlfriend, study some more, watch Arrested Development and then watch porn. The only things i bought were top score and achiever. here were my scores
............Achiever............. Topscore.......... The real deal
PA....... 16 18 17............... 20 23 .......................21
QR....... 18 19 20...............21 20 ...................... 17
RC....... 21 19 22 ...............20 21 .......................24
BIO ..... 13 13 14 ...............15 17 .......................20
GC ...... 14 14 14 ...............15 18 .......................18
OC ...... 14 12 14 ...............14 13 .......................16
TS ...... 14 13 14...............15 16 .......................18
AA .......17 16 17...............17 18 .......................19
god, that took a while to type out properly.
but here are my words of wisdom.
PA: eh, i just kinda figured it out. i seriously just imagine everything literaly infront of me, and im playing with each object in my hands.
QR: before today, i would have said i never worried about QR, but the test was f'ing lame. probably 5 to 6 questions on probability which ive always sucked at. 2 to 3 on random interest rate stuff which i never learned. i saw an ellipse for the first time on it today. i didnt have any conversions where the units were not given. o yeah, volume of cylinder was on there
RC: always look at the first question before you start reading. the best thing to do is remember key words from the question, and look for them in the reading. As you read, just remember in your head, the words that stuck out to you near the top, middle and bottom. i would definitley say it is advantagous to answer as you read instead of reading the whole thing and then answering.
BIOLOGY the only reason i can say my bio went up 7 points is because of CliffQuickReview Notes for Biology. they dont fluff anything and do AMAZING when it comes to taxonomy, plants, and biomes. just the stuff i needed to know for the exam.
Gen CHEM: I started off pretty bad obviously, but i think all it takes is for one to THUROUGHLY read a question and utilizing all the information, come with the answer. just realize, any math is going to do with either converting to moles or using molality, and then other than that, know your acid base conversions, formal charge...oh yeah, oxidation/redox
Ochem: straight up, i cheated my whole way through the class, and am paying for it now. i knew dick about ochem before a week and a half ago. know your basic naming, activating/deactivating groups, aldol condensation, whittig, all your reducers and oxidizers...
I realize i should have spent more time improving my ochem score, but i guess i put a little more emphasis on bio improvement. any more questions, fire away.
