Hey guys, I finished taking my DAT earlier today. Here are my results...

PAT - 16 🙁
QR - 18
R.C. - 22
Bio - 24
Gen Chem - 26
Organic - 28

Total Science - 26
Academic Average - 24

In studying for this test, my most useful and most efficient study guide was the DAT Destroyer. It is a very comprehensive book, detailed and thorough in its questions and explanations, and it allowed me to achieve a total science score of 26. It is a study guide meant for the serious student, and it will provide you with the science background needed to succeed on the DAT. I supplemented the Destroyer with some Kaplan, Topscore, and Achiever - which provided me with the ability to simulate actual test conditions for practice.

I just want to thank all my friends who have supported me this summer, and have helped me along this loooong path...Eric "the orthodox bear" (I never needed any Tylenol PM's by the way), Larry (thanks for the last minute help), Joyce, Leib, and others whom I've gotten to known over this summer. You have all been great - and I look forward to seeing you guys in dental school.

To all the rest of you out there, I wish you all the best of luck!

WOW! Those scores are incredible. But what happened to you on PAT - 16
QR - 18? Did you not study those enough or run out of time? I can't believe your average is that high with those scores!!!!! Great job, I'm sure you will get at least one offer with those scores!!🙂

Regarding my QR score, I am actually pretty satisfied. It is a decent score, all things considered.

As far as PAT, I really don't know what happened. I actually thought that I was doing excellent; but obviously things turned out otherwise. The angles were hard, and the top-front-end was different than what I had seen. I think I got every cube question and every hole punching wuestion correct, so I must've had some real bad luck in the other sections. Some days luck is on your side, and some days it's just not there.

I just hope my PAT score won't have such a large impact on the rest of my scores. I'm thinking optimistically i guess!

Good luck guys!
