for QR reasoning im doingthe destroyer.. i think im ok with it.. but i know i have scored low in the math section. those damn combination, permutation stuff... and word problems in general...
and for reading ...wow good job.. i just cant read that fast =(
OK, so I'll jump on the bandwagon and post my scores from yesterday:
BIO 22
GCHEM 23
OCHEM 23
QRT 23
RC 23
TS 22 (97.1%)
AA 23 (98.6%)
PAT 24 (99.9%)
.
Nice score, That is like the ideal score. Do you happen to know how to get the materials you used, especially "Distroyer stuff"?
Haha, yeah I hold up the whole paper to the screen, aligning the edge of the paper with one of the angle's legs and try to draw the extension of the other leg onto the paper. Then move the paper over to the next angle and see if you can tell which one is bigger. I don't think its foolproof, but it seemed to work for me.
"so i believe what u did was cheating however it's allowed....so i will do the same.
u said u asked them before u actually did(cheating ) but how did u ask?"
woah there buddy, dont call me a cheater, you dont know me. I asked the proctors if they had any rules and complied to what they told me.
If you wanna talk about cheating, lets talk about how you cant think for yourself to save your life. You have 782 posts in one summer mostly consisting of asking people how to do things, what the answer is, where in campbell's or schaum's something is, etc.... I'm all for helping others out when they need, but you take it too far. What are you gonna do when you dont know how to proceed with a patient's treatment in your chair? Go online and ask someone on a message board?

The test was much easier than I expected, I honestly don't know what I missed on the OC and QR sections. As for the PAT, I didnt think it was any harder than Topscore and the angles weren't that bad if you know certain tricks. But, then again I have 20/15 vision so things always look pretty clear to me.
And to answer the question from the thread title, YES! Destroyer does work! I took the Kaplan course this summer, and although everyone knows Kaplan won't properly prepare you for the really high scores (esp. in BIO and PAT), I found the blue book irreplacable for reacquainting myself with the basic sciences. So, after the class ended at the end of July, I picked up Topscore, Acheiver and 3 weeks ago, the Destroyer.
For me, the Destroyer was the perfect material to top off my studying. Seriously, going through the problems and knowing that you know how to do the hardest problems is a big confidence booster. So was talking to Dr. Romano. We talked for over an hour on Monday going through problems I had questions about and problems he wanted me to know how to do. The personability and customer service of Dr. Romano and Nancy is unlike anything else out there.... try calling up Stanley Kaplan and asking him the mechanisms of a Claisen reaction! Selected Destroyer problems were the last thing I looked at before I left yesterday morning. But, it is NOT a fix all! You still have to pick up your old bio and chem books and notes, as well as take the practice tests and review them. You have to know what you are doing first ( ahem, Joon, coughcough), but Destroyer will kick you up a few nothces.
I'm so hungover right now 🙂 But feel free to ask any questions about the test, my preparation, or anything.
