Took my DAT, this last friday and have been partying ever since. But, I finally found time to post some scores here.
PAT 21 (98.5)
QR 18 (78.8)
RC 22 (88.4)
Bio 20 (90.0)
GC 23 (95.9)
OC 28 (99.1)
TS 22 (97.1)
AA 22 (97.3)
Bio: Wasn't too bad. Had the lion pop question. Heavy on genetics, but fairly simple. Also had a few on reproduction.
Gchem: Calculations were straight foward. You'll probably have a question on atomic radii. No real surprises here.
Ochem: Just know basic concepts and do lots of practice problems.
I finished the SNS ~20 mins early, even had time to use the bathroom. On my practice test (Kaplan/Achiever) I never finished early. I guess I moved fast cause it was the real thing.
PAT: So much easier than Achiever. Key holes were about the same as Kaplan. TFE, easier than achiever. Hole punch is a bit harder than kaplan, but much less difficult than Achiever. Angles were challenging but definitely doable. Cube counting, take your time and don't mess up, these are free points. Pattern folding, half easy half challenging.
RC: Had articles on role of mg in heart, herbs and medicine, and second messengers (cAMP).
QR: I did the best on the section on kaplan's test, so my score surprised me cause it was one of my better subjects. I don't know what went wrong. There were only 3 questions that I had to skip and go back to. I finished in time. They seemed pretty straightfoward. So all I can say is maybe they were a bit trickier than I thought, and so answer choices were meant to fool you.

I didn't take the last two QR and last RC because I ran out of time to study.
I took the kaplan course, it was a waste of time. Their resources were alright, but class time was a joke. Achiever was much harder than the actual test.
One piece of advice, get the DAT destroyer. I got it 6 days before the test and went through all the problems. You will build up your confidence if you understand the solutions. It definitely helped me out. Dr. Romano and Nancy are incredible. They were able to overnight the destroyer over the long weekend and were available to go over and review questions over the phone. Their customer service is unmatched. If you invest in one resource, i'd put my money on the destroyer.
PM if you have any other questions. I'll be applying for the next cycle, hopefully I can get into a california school. My GPA is 3.2, but I'm a bioengineer, so i'm not sure how much that helps, but oh well.
Anybody know the deal about these percentiles? What does it actually mean and is it a good indicator of where you stand?
