so I submitted my aadsas this week and I didn't indicate my future DAT score because I was undecided about retaking DAT. Would dental schools automatically know that I am retaking the exam if I register and select there school? Also does it really take 3-4 weeks to upload to AADSAS (and this happens only if I indicated future exam date?)?

Dental schools will receive your scores automatically if you've selected the school, at which point they will know you've retaken the DAT whether you want them to or not. It can take up to 3 weeks to upload to AADSAS but usually it only takes around 2.
