Hi, I'm struggling with RC, my scores vary depending on what resource i use. i find topscore not bad, i've been scoring around 22 but with crack its been low: 17 ish avg. i have no more resources for rc and was wondering if i should get achiever to bring my score up. my current strat is to read a paragraph, sum in a word and then go and answer. i really want to be consistent with my score but was wondering if achiever was worth getting for its rc and pat? will it actually help me or just challenge me? did any1 notice an improve in their score with achiever?

I would say the more practice that you do the better it is. and since achiever is only like 50 bucks i would just buy it. If you have the time just do it. Instead of just waiting for the dat date atleast you have something to practice. Rc is one of those thigns you can only increase yoru score though practice. Good luck hope this helps.

How do people think the difficulty of PAT on achiever is to real exam? I have seen on other threads that people think your real PAT will go up from achiever, but is that realistic or are certain people just promoting achiever?

I used achiever for studying and thought it was very difficult. I scored 19-22s in PAT on the first 5 tests, but scored a 23 on the real DAT in June. However, I only used achiever as my primary RC study resource. It killed my confidence and I couldn't practice proper strategy because of its difficulty. I score low in RC and now I have to retake. Now I am practicing with DATqvault, CDR, and topscore of reading (as well as other subjects). I have heard they are much more representative. RC is my achilles heel so I practicing like mad.
