Hi everyone,

Recently, I started noticing a lot of threads focused on PAT section of DAT Achiever but I haven't read anything about the science and other sections of this software.

I would really like to know that if DAT Achiever science section is hard/easy/same as DAT and also how bug free is this software compared to others in the market like Topscore, Kaplan CD, acethedat (seems like ridden with mistakes in science section) etc.

Thanks in advance.

I thought the Bio sections were extremely difficult. I can say this because I made a 16 on the last test. The organic chemistry section is representative of the organic section you will find on the real thing. Same with GChem. The software is pretty big free. I had no complaints with the test unlike Ace the DAT.

Thanks cowsgomoo ! You have been great help.

The first and only problem I ever had is that the software will not work on windows 98 (was posted in the system requirement but guessed I've not been paying attention to that). I've taken 2 science tests and found them to be useful especially with the detailed solutions given. The reporting structure is also very comprehensive e.g. telling you how often you switched the answers, ever been time trapped and still got the answer marked wrongly...

The GChem has'd quite a handful of challenging and yet conceptual questions. I've learnt alot from the explanations given. And together with selective practices from other book reviews, it has served as good complements to my satisfactory TS score.

One unique feature I realized is that you're going to find many practical tips/stretegies explained along with the solutions. It has also made me study harder and prompts me with much lateral thinking at times.

Right, the Bio section is tough to me too and has enlightened me with many other stuffs I don't learn from other guides.

I suppose this can only happen when the entire test is being derived and explained by one cohesive mind, the author himself. BTW, anyone's ever been able to locate some errors in the SNS of this software? I've always liked to catch others' mistakes while reviewing the answers but so far I'm not getting any luck with this guide. 😳

I found the explanations given for GChem and OChem and QRT questions are very systematically delineated. Many methods shown have'd shortcut(s) to getting the same answer, and they've obviously superceded what I've been clinging to.
