for starters, I find the PAT section on this program to be super hard.

anyways, concentrating at the problem at hand, looking at the top view and end view, how is one supposed to recognize that the structures on the top left and middle are diagnols and not just straight boxes.

anyways, concentrating at the problem at hand, looking at the top view and end view, how is one supposed to recognize that the structures on the top left and middle are diagnols and not just straight boxes.

It can be diagonal, straight box, or even U-curved, ... But you'll need to pick one that is solid lined (diagonal in this case), cuz that particular structure appears visible from the front view. And it's just that simple.

Remember to open up the 2D explanation that displays all of the possible views belonging to each different answer. They've helped me a lot in visualizing all correct and wrong models of the supposed projections.
