I downloaded DAT Achiever a few weeks ago on my friend's laptop to look at their Demo but I did not purchase the software then. Today, when I tried to do the same on my computer, I noticed that version 2 has been released to replace the old one. Are questions in ver 2 entirely different or just about the same? Has anybody seen the difference between the two?

I just called the owner today, and was told that 98% of the questions stay the same, except for the fact that version 2.2 comes with better explanations... and perhaps several more repeated/popular DAT questions added to it... and the program is more robustly built...

He said he'll send out newsletter to existing ver 1 users on this free/available upgrade over the weekend, which I think is good & great news. Good luck to everyone then... 😉

I already have my DAT taken this month and am grateful to a kind SDNer named "mochafreak" who pointed me to a post on those repeated DAT questions from DAT Achiever just few days before my test date. I couldn't recall seeing all of those questions appearing on my tests may be because of examination stress or those questions at Prometric Center have been reshuffled/reworded..., but challenging problems like the cheetah pouplation, fate of an acetylcholine, thermoregulation, stock, ... & some tricky math stuffs were vividly seen there, without which I would not have been able to get most of my scores 20++.

I just received an email from the author on this upgrade which I just did a while ago out of curiosity. Got one of the QR tests ended deliberately just to look at the supposed enhanced explanations. I guess the alternate algebraic approach for the corral word problem that came out on my test is going to help alot more students handle other question(s) of this kind. I'm glad I've used DAT Achiever, and I personally feel this program is worth more than $50 considering the great benefits I've gained from it... Best wishes to everyone then. :luck:

Too bad the program will still not run on Windows 98, let alone the apple mac system. I hope this issue can be well superceded as the older technologies (I mean 98) are being outphased, so more ppl can have access to their valuable tests. 🙂

Did you know where that post (on those repeated DAT questions from DAT Achiever) was, "everest"?

The following is extracted from a post that appears in a thread iniated by me:

Real DAT questions... appearing in DAT Achiever worth your attention:

Bio : Test 1 (Q2, 4 , & 7), Test 2 (Q11, 32, 37, & 39), Test 3 (Q2, 30, & 33)
Maths: Test 1 (Q34 & 37), Test 2 (Q5, 14, 17, & 38), Test 3 (Q34)

The above list might not be complete with version 2 now released. Suggest that you contact the owner if those questions are of critical importance to you...

It was once told that those questions would only appear on the test if you happened to be getting the same set of test the author sat for. Seems like part of the repeated (word for word) questions has now been spread/siphoned to other set of tests as well. For instance, the tricky bio problem on "thermoregulation" (and perhaps several others) will also appear on tests set associated with RCT on Aging, Calcium function... Hope this will make the usefulness of DAT Achiever a little better in this very direction... :luck: 😍
