DAT and the MCAT?

Hey SDNers
Just wondering - will dental schools know if you take both the DAT and the MCAT? Will it look bad? (Not that im interested in going to med school, im just curious).

Ha. Funny question. No, they will not know if you take both tests. But they will know if you apply to both types of schools.

I was pretty sure that they do know if you take the MCAT. The advice I got from dental admissions was, go ahead and take the MCAT if you want, but don't do badly. If you apply to dental school after a sad attempt at med school, it won't be pretty.

That's nonsense. Dental schools won't know you took the MCAT unless you tell them. I did it and they never asked. Dental schools won't even know you took the DAT unless they receive your score report.
