I did a seach and saw that someone had audited that really hard version of the test back in sept 2007. the results came back as that there were indeed mistakes in the test. I was wondering if it was possible for that same version to be around for this long? Would the ADA have fixed the test version and put correct answers to the questions that people disputed continue to administer the faulty version?

I am pretty sure that there was a mistake in my orgo section. They were missing a peak on spec. I just assumed that there was an extra peak and made an educated guess. However there was definitely a missing peak.

i meant to say in the last sentence if they would have fixed the errors or continued to administer the faulty version.

any ideas??

these guys that make this test have no room for errors....dont they look over it b4 they send it out...it really makes me mad bc i think i had that test last sept...and even on my retake i found an error on the organic section whre they added an extra Carbon after a simple oxidation...SO STUPID

I had pretty close to the same problem on my test. One of the Gen Chem professors at my school is on the DAT question board and he also is an adjunct for organic as well. He said that you would not believe some of the organic questions that come through the board for approval by professors all over the country. He was saying how so many of them were either completely wrong or missing needed material to answer the question. Then he went on to say how even with all the people reviewing these things they still make it on the test somehow.

so back to my original question...do you guys think that a faulty test could still be given this year if someone had asked for an audit for it last year..on the same test version?
