DAT Aug 10, 2015 - DONE!!!

I do not have a science background. In fact I was a crappy science student in high school, did a degree in law in Australia and 11 years after high school decided I wanted to do dentistry. So I have spent the last 2 years doing pre-reqs in Science (c/sgpa 3.96)

My materials:
DAT bootcamp x 2
DAT destroyer x 2.5
QVault x 1
Chads videos
Cliffs x 1 and referred random chapters
Ferelli's x 2
CDP x 1 (finished only 50%)


I started with DAT Destroyer, and then the first attempt at bootcamp
DAT Bootcamp scores
first time (June - July )
Subject : Test 3 / 4 / 5 (did not record exam 1 and 2 )
Bio: 14 / 16 / 20
GC: 17 / 18 / 16
OC: 18 / 20 / 20
PAT: 17 / 17 / 18
QR: 18 / 15 / 17
Reading : 18 / 15 / 17

Quite disenchanted with my scores, I then worked on all 10 Qvault tests, and then sat for the 2009 exam online. I think I got scores between 18 - 19

Then I realized I wasn't happy, so i delayed my exam in 2 weeks and did DAT destroyer again, then repeated DAT bootcamp:

second time (Aug)
Subject : test 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5
Bio: 20 / 18 / 19 / 25 / 23
GC: 18 / 17 / 22 / 22 / 19
OChem: 18 / 21 / 21 / 24 / 23
PAT : x / 19 / 19 / 18 / X
QR : x / 17 / 20 / 21 / x

Overall I would say DAT destroyer and bootcamp were my best resources.

What a journey and complete career change. It took a lot of hard work and dedication to get your scores. Dental schools will take notice of your high GPA and outstanding DAT scores. You will have no trouble getting interviews . I am glad you found the DAT Destroyer helpful as part of your DAT study tools.

I studied for bio mainly using youtube videos, Qvault, Ferali's notes (found it confusing for me), Cliffs AP

The reason I am marked as a medical student is this is my husband's account. Med student days for him was LONG time ago. He actually just finished super fellowship and is joining practice next month!
