So I wanted to start a little something for those taking the DAT shortly. So I've been told along with what we are able to study (from KBB, Cliffs etc.), there ARE questions that are, as a lot of people here would say, "random" questions, or questions that just aren't answered/covered in any of these prep books. I was thinking we could perhaps compile obscure bio facts that we could potentially encounter in future DAT exams.

so if you feel like contributing and helping everyone out in this forum, please feel free to show off your "random" bio knowledge that you think could be of help to everyone 🙂 😛:laugh:

whadda ya say 🙂?

let it rip!

You are trying to start the longest thread SDN has ever seen

Yeah. It's gunna scare people who has the test soon. 😛

Q: What are some features of anaerobic halophile?
A: photosynthetic with pigment bacteriohodopsin

Q: What causes stomata to open during the day?
A: Blue light triggering guard cell uptake of K+

What is the major advantage that a C4 plant has over a C3 plant?

A C4 plant is able to undergo carbon fixation in harsher environments (dry, low H2O) without becoming dehydrated.

For the bio section, you need to know a little bit about everything. Nothing on my test was what I would consider obscure.
