I have to retake my DAT again, and one section i need the most work on is Biology. Does anybody know, or know where to find, the breakdown of what exactly the 40 Biology questions covers, so that I may be able to spend more of my time on those areas in which I am weak.

I didnt know if they had it posted: X amount is genetics, Y amount is cell division...

Thanks

I'm sorry man but I don't think they release this. If they did, it would probably give out a little bit too much information..people would definitely emphasize only the parts that were more heavily covered. For example, I've heard of some people having 0 plant bio questions, and some with 10. So it's really a luck of the draw, which is why we have to cover everything -_____-

I recommend datQvault and HippoCampus.com. I believe both should be as good a set for Biology as Chad and Destroyer for Org. Chem. and Gen. Chem. datQvault also breaks down what biology questions are covered based on percentage.

If you noticed the OP's question, he was asking for the SPECIFIC # of questions for each section. Which is why he stated "X amount of genetics, Y amount of cell division." I am aware that they post an overview of what Biology topics are covered, but the OP asked for the numbers and that's what I was addressing.

Just so much win in this post.

The information is worthless. If you read enough score report threads, you may notice that some people had absolutely zero taxonomy or plant questions on their version while others had a heavy dose of genetics questions, etc.

I would rather trust what the ADA published rather than someone posting on a forum. People don't have perfect memories, and the memory is more vivid if the question stuck out more in a certain way.
