Hello guys.
I have a question.
How did you guys prepare the biology section?

(my major is mathematics and I did take anatomy, physiology, genetics, and biochemistry class. but I never took general biology course before.)

What material good enough to study/prepare DAT biology section, and How to use that material? What is effective strategy for this section?

my goal is 20~21 for biology.

Help me out. Thanks

i used kaplan blue book...although it laid a good foundation, i don't think it went into enough depth to do really well on the bio section. from other members i've heard both cliffs AP bio, and destroyer are both good materials to use to adequately prepare for this section.

i got a 26 on bio after aiming for a 20. i thought cliffs was good, and i really liked the kaplan online materials. i went through destroyer and looked up things i didn't know on wikipedia.

i recommend the cliffs ap bio. ive already taken the dat once without it and got an 18 in biology, but from using this forum i have noticed anyone that mentions cliffs gets in the 20s for the most part. i'd say use it in conjunction with a text in case you need to clarify something in more detail.

also, destroyer is definitely good but is not meant to learn from. a lot of people think the questions are random, but so are the ones they ask on the test. each question has a detailed answer in the back of the book and is a great tool to use once you have studied on your own.

I took the test yesterday. I would say bio question is very random. I agreed with other cliff bio is a good start comparing with Kaplan blue book. Please do not rely TOOO much on Destroyer. Kaplan bio practice test is a great sources too.
I used cliff bio, baron(just for the practice, cliff bio 5 practice tests....
I spend more than 3 months for the test and honestly i 've never feel ready for that section. Anyway just try your best. Good luck!!!!

So would you guys say Cliffs AP Biology and Destroyer be adequate for an aimed score of 20-22? I'm taking the Kaplan online course and the online modules give me a more more in-depth lesson about certain things (like genetics) that the Cliff book doesn't go into.
