I want to use both for studying but have no idea how to manage or schedule my studying between the two.... any tips?

For Bio/Chem first I will review the content using AP Cliffs/Chads before taking practice questions from either Bootcamp or Destroyer but...

For QR/PAT/RC is just taking the question on Bootcamp/Destroyer enough???

Do I need to do any "content review" for those sections?

DAT Destroyer first and then test yourself using DAT Bootcamp. For example, I would do 3 hours of Destroyer Bio and then take one of the Bootcamp tests right afterwards. Whatever questions I didn't get right on Bootcamp, I put them into my Anki flashcards deck.

QR/PAT/RC is enough from Bootcamp and Destroyer. QR, Math Destroyer is the MOST accurate. PAT and RC, Bootcamp is most accurate, but QR isn't. Good luck!
Thanks, I just read your breakdown too and congrats! For the bio section I really want to only use one of either AP Cliffs or Feralis but can't decide. If you had to choose one which would you pick? Or should I just go ahead and get both?

I like the outline format of Feralis and since it's 85 pages I feel like if I do content review for 2 weeks, I could memorize 6 pages a day in about 2-3 hours which isn't bad. And then do practice exams to really cement it.

POR QUE NO LOS DOS?!?! I actually used both. AP Cliffs during the day, and skimmed/read through Feralis at night to review before I slept on my Ipad. :3
I might do that, just to cement the info better. Not sure yet. Now that reality is hitting me that I have to take the DAT in less than 2 months and start studying for it in a few weeks, I am starting to get a little nervous about the whole thing and how to go about setting up my studying but I'm sure it will all work out fine in the end....

I'm following Ari Rezai's DAT Bootcamp schedule. Seems good enough for me. He covers everything, integrates Destroyer, includes Chads....triple threat.

Yea I think that is a great study schedule and I'm sure you will do great by following that. I just don't want to study for 10 weeks lol. I figure if people on here can do well studying 4-5 weeks, then so can I if I study hard.

I hear you! best of luck

Where's the best place to learn how to program anki? I still don't understand some of the controls lol. Also, have any of you guys used general chemistry destroyer? So far I've only heard of people using math destroyer and DAT destroyer.

Hi 510586,

FYI, the General Chemistry Destroyer is Dr. Romano's latest book. That is why you have not heard it mentioned on SDN it was just released a few months ago. Sorry can't help you with anki, if someone doesn't respond to this thread I to help you out can have one of my students contact you through email.

Good luck in your studies and on the DAT

Nancy

Thank you very much! What does the general chemistry destroyer have that DAT destroyer doesn't, and who would you recommend it to? I see many people doing very well with only Chad's and the DAT destroyer. I'm thinking about purchasing Destroyers soon, as I am taking the DAT very soon.

Anglo is hard to use and I couldn't find many helpful sources outside of YouTube to help (and just messing around by yourself)

I ended up getting the iPhone app and using feralis notes made into anki from bootcamp website. Well worth it.

The General Chemistry Destroyer will build a foundation and give a very in depth understanding of chemical concepts. This will also help a student who has been away from General Chemistry for a while. If you have a strong idea of the concepts and topics you would not need this book. This is more of the bare essentials you would need geared towards the exam, much easier than going to a text book.

Yea I have the Ferali's notes anki for android. Hope I can finish it in time, I sitll have like 1000 or more cards left. How many new cards do you do per day?

Alright thanks

Much of the new cards are actually similar to the old cards just a different spot is blanked out.

There are so many new cards it would take forever to go through without doing 100 new a day.

You really have to go with what works for you. Getting advice is important, but see what yields the best results for you - no one else's timeline or strategy will perfectly fit your scenario.

Thank you Bluesky12, I agree with you 100 percent, each student must do what works best for them and their study habits. It's impossible for 1 study plan to be a perfect fit for every student.

I've been doing 40 new and 110 review per day but I'm on the 10~~ week schedule. It's been working out for me. Also what I've been doing for Bio is for the first day, read a section on AP cliffs (reading, underlining, but not actively memorizing). Then the next day, I go over the same section in Feralis notes and try to actively engage in memorizing. Of course I can't retain it all in one read through ( I wish), so I've been doing Feralis anki everyday to reinforce my memory. Even then, some of the information won't stay in but I guess that's the whole point of spaced repetition. Been working out pretty well thus far. Just my 2 cent 🙂
