Hey guys,
I'm applying next cycle and I took the DAT today shortish notice because I'm leaving on a trip. Overall, pretty stoked with the results, besides Ochem, which was average, and hopefully isn't a problem.

I graduated a week ago, and leave in 10 days to world-travel/volunteer before the serious debt of grad school(and for a better application?), so I didn't get to study as much as I'd like to, but for not studying a ton, I can't complain.

DAT scores:

PAT: 20
QR: 24
RC: 26
BIO: 23
GC: 20
OC: 17
TS: 20
AA: 22 (95.7% !)

C-GPA: 3.73
S-GPA: 3.53

Volunteer work at the dental clinic at UW and in a hospital in Buenos Aires, shadowed dentists, and that kind of stuff as well for extracurriculars.

As far as studying and the test went, I could've been way more serious, but a 23-unit semester, the holidays and getting ready for this trip made it harder, so while I sporadically studied all semester, the last 2ish weeks have been a lot of relearning. To study, I read the Kaplan Blue Book, Cliff's AP Bio, DAT Achiever and Crack DAT PAT and looked through some old Ochem notes. I kicked it into high gear this past 2 weeks and bought the 5 test Achiever and CDP. My PAT abilities were lacking, so that's what I'd focused on mostly. Also, I had a lot of good instructors. Weird thing, though, is that on the Achiever and CDP I never broke 17 as a score for any section, so of course I'm so excited to get a 22 AA and 20 TS.

Truth be told, pretty happy how it turned out. If need be I could retake at some point in the future and study my face off, but hoping I can save a little time and $$$. Will my OC score be a problem when I apply, or did I save it with the TS and AA averages and by having a pretty solid GPA? I'm an Arizonian, and would like to explore some new (hopefully coastal?) places with good dental programs. I figured I'd ask to see what the student doctors thought about how it went, and what my chances are if I apply early and everything, and I'm hoping that it's all smooth sailing til application time.

So yeah, if you have some sort of real opinion, it'd be really nice to hear it! If need be, I can always take the test again whenever I get back to the states, but I am hoping that I can sit on it til I apply. Thanks for your help!

LOL I am sick of seeing these 22AA+ scores asking if they're ok or not.

^ Seriously. Read the ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools. If your above the schools average stats then you have a good chance of getting an interview to that school.

Harvard DAT average= 22AA.

and he is asking if he needs a retake. What a fakin joke..
