I'm pretty happy with the result. I have a low GPA so I needed this. Here goes:

PAT: 23
QR: 30
RC: 20
BIO: 22
GC: 24
OC: 23
TS: 23
AA: 24

BIO
-Cliff's AP Biology, Feralis Bio note, DAT Destroyer, DAT Bootcamp, DAT Qvault
I am an engineering student and only took 2 bio courses and a biochem course so I was very happy with this score. Plus, I never scored higher than 20 on any of the Bootcamp and Qvault exams, so don't be so down if you do bad the first time. Make flashcards and just memorize everything. I started off by reading through Cliff's to understand everything, then made flashcards of everything in Feralis, then went through the Destroyer and made flashcards, then tested myself with Bootcamp and Qvault, made more cards out of those. I went through the Destroyer 3 times, and Bootcamp and Qvault 2 times each.

Those three are all you need. I thought I got 30, but I guess not.

OC

Same here. Those three are all you need.

PAT
-DAT Bootcamp
I didn't prepare that much for this. Just practice.

RC
-DAT Bootcamp, DAT Qvault
I was most happy with this score. I was getting 16-18 using the mapping method, switched to search and destroy the day before and got a couple 20s on Qvault. Bootcamp is a good practice, but I think Qvault resembles the real exam more.

QR
-DAT Destoyer, Math Destoyer, DAT Bootcamp
I don't think any of the questions are that difficult, many just have hard time finishing on time. Practice to skip questions that might take longer, and you should be set. I skipped about 5 questions, and when I came back to them, I had about 15 minutes left to do them carefully with less pressure.

Material-wise, like everyone else here, I think those are all you need. I studied three months in total, though really, I could have done in two. The first two months, it was really hard to get motivated, the last month, I don't remember doing anything else but study.

I am a Canadian citizen, and will be applying this coming cycle. My GPA is on the low side, but I think I have a strong EC especially in research. Hopefully, the DAT score will catch their eyes.

Oh, and just briefly about myself: I am a Canadian citizen, and will be applying this coming cycle. My GPA is quite low (3.2 both sGPA and oGPA but 3.6 BCP), but I think I have a strong EC especially in research. Hopefully, the DAT score will catch their eyes. Am I wasting money and time in applying with such low GPA? What do you guys think?

THANKS!
ur set, congrats on such an amazing score! where abouts from Canada? Im Canadian too!

Congratulations, amazing scores!
Was the bio section too detailed? Also, how was the difficulty of the RC section?

Congratulations! Your scores are very consistent and wow 30 in QR, that's rare for a student to get a perfect score in that section. You must be a math wizard. I totally agree that your DAT scores will catch the eyes of schools and even though your GPA is on the low side you have a excellent chance at obtaining an interview and acceptance. Make sure your personal statement is perfect because that can go a long way in setting your apart from another applicant.

Good luck to you and keep us posted !

Thank you!
The bio section wasn't too detailed I thought other than 3-4 questions that were almost word-for-word from the Destroyer. Focus on the Feralis notes, and you should be set for a good score!
Because I am a slow reader, search and destroy was perfect for a decent score. I would say the difficult level is very similar to Qvault RCs.

Thank you!! I could not have done this without the Destroyer. It is definitely a must for anyone preparing for the DAT. Thank you for such a great prep tool.

Congratulation on your score. you did a great job. I am just wondering how much time you spend preparing for the DAT? can you give us a little bit on your study schedule and how many days you studied?

Thank you!

I studied three months in total but I think I could have done in two if I was fully motivated. I needed lots of time because I am very weak in bio. The first two months, I slacked off too much and had many days off (I was also working as a research assistant). The last month, I don't remember doing anything else but study. If you're having difficult time focusing for a long period of time, I recommend having a timer on, but only when you're studying (stop when testing, washroom breaks, etc.). That way, I would try to fill up 1-2 hours before any short breaks. I would sit down the whole day to study, but on average, I "studied" for about 9 hours a day (I know, I still got distracted a lot). The last 3-4 days, I was just so exhausted, and probably did few hours a day.

For the last month and a bit, I made a plan at the beginning on things I must get done each day for each sector. I left out Sunday, and used it as either a rest day or a catch-up day (mostly catch-up days). I think I followed it pretty good because of the catch-up days. I usually spent half the time studying BIO, little bit of GC and OC each day, alternated PAT, RC and QA.

Congrats! Those are great scores. I've been using the DAT and Math Destroyer to study. In a few months or so I'll be taking my exam. I hope I get scores like yours. Thank you so much for the breakdown.

I just took my DAT today and scored a 23 in biology. I would say dat qvualt is necessary! they ask you questions which really make you think and I definitely had a few of those on my test!

Congrats on your good score! I have read these good reviews from multiple sources...Qvault just for bio or other subjects too? And is this a use-after-Bootcamp-and-after-destroyer kind of deal?

I used qvault for biology only. I used it during my studying so after i studied a big chunk of bio material i would take a practice test. the week before my test i re-took all the 10 tests. I felt that bootcamp, destroyer and chads covered the chem sections in every way possible. for GC i would suggest to focus on the main picture and big concepts more than the calcuations in destroyer. my exam had barely any calculations and a LOT of conceptual questions.

Thank you!
and I just looked at your breakdown too. GREAT WORK!

Just a word of advice NOT all DAT tests are the same and their are versions out there with a lot of calculations, if you don't prepare for accordingly you might not be adequately prepared on test day. This advice comes from many years of experience working with students taking the DAT.

@mjk4 is QVault really necessary? Or could I make do with Destroyer, Bootcamp, and Chads?

Like others said, tests vary. From my experience, QVault is a MUST for RC; I thought the real test was just another QVault RC (maybe I was lucky since I've read from many that QVault RCs are usually easier than the real one). For BIO, I wouldn't say it is necessary but definitely a great prep tool. As you can see from my scores, my lowest scores are RC and BIO. I knew I was weak in them so that's why I purchased QVault just for those two about a week before the test day. I definitely think QVault played a key role in getting scores 1-2 higher.
