Is the calculator on the DATS similar to achiver? or CDP? the calculator on achiever is HUGGEEE and won't let me put " . 8" instead needs "0.8", also Achiever Math seems to be a gallizion times harder than CDM and math destroyer, is this comparable to the real thing? Thanks!

From what I have read here, everything on Achiever is tough....real DAT is much more easier than Achiever....

Regarding the calculator, I have read that it is similar in functions... like u have to type 0.8 instead of .8.. and DO NOT CLICK on CE on the actual calculator...

I am not sure about the size...would like someone who has already taken their test to confirm this...

I have heard that you would need to always clear the numbers before performing any calculation on a new question, but what's the matter with clicking the CE button?

The calculator on the exam is identical to the calculator on a Windows XP computer.

The CE button or 'clear entry' (not sure if thats the real meaning or just one i made up to remember what it does 🙂) only clears the last thing you put into the calculator so you could potentially mess up the next calculation you do. If you use the C button to clear then you wont have to worry about that.

I've heard that the calculator on the test is slow and laggy but i dont really find my XP calc slow or laggy. Do you know if the calc on the test is slower than the average XP calc?

The computers are pretty fast--they're not laggy whatsoever so the calculators were really responsive. I did my best to do everything with algebra before using the calculator. I had ... approximately 4 statistics questions and I guessed on those, hence I got a 20 on QR but I didn't study for it nor did I study for RC.

Thx invictus. Youre the first person Ive heard say that the calculator was responsive. This makes sense cuz its not a computer hog and to make it go slow they would have to purposefully slow it down. Glad to hear that isnt the case. And yea im gonna try to do whatever i can in my head before going to the calc. Maybe only use it if i have extra time at the end to check my answers (yea rite🙂)

Hahah YEAH RIGHT! I didn't study for RC and QR (why did I do this to myself??? I don't know but I did okay overall, could've been much better had I invested my share of RC practice in there, oh well) and I was able to have some extra time to go over QR. I got a 20 in it only because of those stats questions! Anyway, if you're good in math and you practice a little bit, you should be set. Try to use the calculator when you can otherwise you won't remember what you did for each question and you'd have to do it all over again
