DAT canceling question

i dont think i am able to take dat for dec

I called the test center and they said that I don't need to pay canceling fee but I just don't show up and it's automatically canceled , not getting 0 score..

Is that true ? otherwise I will cancel it paying 25 dollars

Yes, they auto cancel it for free if you are a no show. It happened to me last year.
