Has anyone taken a look at the DATS Cliffs Book. It is awful. Nobody should buy this book. The questions are not good questions. Also there are tons of mistakes. Alot of the questions are also very easy. Im not talking about AP CLIFFS BIO. That's a good book. Just stay away from the DAT CLIFFS BOOK.

I agree! I did most of the math and chem questions in the book. The math is a complete joke. Most of the chem questions are also very easy, and the book is saturated with mistakes. Almost every other question has a misprint or an error. I did all the Ochem and they asked almost no reactions. Spend your money on Crack Dat Pat or Destroyer instead.

that is by far the worst prep book i have ever seen! i couldn't even believe some of the answers in there were completely backwards and far from the truth. i didn't even make it past the g chem section, i was too scared to even look at the orgo.

sorry tvl987. I would suggest that you take that book and throw it in the garbage. It will do more bad than good.

I've got the Cliffs book and I used it for the practice tests, and yeah, most of the questions were really easy. But from what I remember, some of the "easy" questions on my DAT were very similar to the ones in cliffs - but too bad the DAT isn't all "easy" questions, hehe.

If you're looking for one of the cheaper books, get Barron's, I picked it up for like $15 and even though it had a few errors, I thought it was helpful.

if i used the same book, the bio questions were very good review..😕

I think that Cliff DAT is not good at all. However, it is still a practice book. If you did not take General Chem, Bio or O.Chem before taking DAT, it can be a good starting point. The problems are very easy, explanations are ok. There are many mistakes in the book. For this reason, do not be upset if u cannot reach the correct answer. I can say the same think for Barron's book. However, Barron's book have wonderful tips for PAT sections.

I heard there are also alot of mistakes in the PAT section for the Barons. I never saw it but that is what I heard. Is that true?

I wouldn't be so quick to bash Cliffs. I had two questions on my real DAT from the biology section that the Cliffs practice tests had. It's illegal for me to say what they were, but both questions were almost identical from Cliffs. It is definitely a coincidence, but if you already bought the book, I highly recommend that you at least go over the book once and make sure you know everything.

you can have the same luck with other books that don't have mistakes.
