I'd like to start this out similar to previous posters by saying there's no way I could of done this well without the help of all the people that post their breakdowns on here. I know the scores are what everyone want to see so here they are.

26/21/24
Perceptual ability: 21 👎
Quantitative Reasoning: 20
Reading Comprehension: 22
Biology: 26
General Chemistry: 28:soexcited:
Organic Chemistry: 23
TS: 26
AA: 24:wow:

Honestly I have been praying all week that I would get just get a 21 because I knew that would at least give me a chance to get in some where. Im probably not like most of you since I recently switched to dental this past fall from the medical school pathway. It still kind of makes me nervous that I probably wont have near the amount of shadowing hours or dental experience but i figured that my score should definitely help me out. For any you out there that are getting discouraged by practice test or studying, take a deep breathe and calm down because I would not consider myself to be extremely smart but after the time I put into studying I felt like I deserved the score I received. By the way, the last 5 minutes of the QR section is the most nervous I've ever been in my life because the idea of your score popping up on your screen is an intense feeling.

Since I know this is the first thing I wanted to know with each breakdown are bootcamp score, here they are before anyone asks. I started these three weeks ago and took the last one a week ago. Second time taking the sections are in ( ).

Bio: 22(30)/18(25)/21(26)/21/20
Orgo: 21(30)/19(24)/21(27)/20/21
Gen: 19(21)/19(23)/23(26)/19/19
PAT: 21/20/21/20/20/21
RC: 16/19/20/21/20

Bootcamp was awesome because it kind of lets you know where your at in your studying as well as motivates you to study harder. I'm going to tell you that the actual test is much easier but don't forget that i studied my butt off which is firmly why i believe the test felt so easy. The perceptual ability portion on here i would say is most similar to the real test probably because my keyhole questions were really hard. I was actually really angry when i finished my keyhole questions because I felt like i blew my score. Honestly I was expecting better but since my AA is high, I could care less now.

Now on to my next topic, DAT Destroyer, which I honestly think was my savior for the science section. I actually think its funny when people get on here and say that its an overkill. I started the destroyer probably 5 weeks ago and was getting absolutely owned!! I mean the destroyer legit destroyed me. It was extremely frustrating but when I missed a question or didn't understand one of the answer choices, I would look it up if i had to and then right it down in my notebook. I kept a notebook which was basically had all of the problems that I got wrong and when i was bored i would go back and memorize the facts that I wrote down. I got through it one time probably a week and a half ago and then started going through it a second time. I would simulate an actual science section and usually got about 85% correct in each section but it was also my second time through. I can't emphasize enough the importance of this thick book because it was extremely helpful. I also got math destroyer and consistently got about 27-28 correct on the 14 test that I took. I think the actual QR section was way easier but I definitely recommend getting it because it teaches the algebra and geometry that you need to be successful. Especially for a guy like me that hasn't had a math class, besides freshmen year stats, since calculus my senior year (5 years ago).

The only Crack DAT section I got was the PAT section and I think that it was extremely helpful since I started doing the generators about 2 months ago. Like I said i'm a little disappointed in my PAT score because i was doing so well on these practice test but ohhhh well. Here are my scores on the 10 test.

Honestly, I didn't think the actual DAT PAT section was that hard but I also think I got down on myself because i struggled on the keyhole section for some reason. BTW the angles section was absolute cake on the actual after doing the BC and CD angle generators.

Chads video's are awesome too which I'm sure is a given so I'm not going to talk much about that. He explains things really well and i honestly didn't even start these until a couple of weeks ago after my third Bootcamp practice test. I only watched the gen chem videos and the organic lab video's because I didnt want to spend any more money.

In conclusion, if I can do it then any of y'all can too so take a deep breath and don't get discouraged.

Good looking scores! And thanks for posting your studying steps for other members!

How'd you approach the RC portion?

I mapped each passage. I would skim the paragraph to get the main idea, write that down, then move to the next paragraph. It usually left me with about 15-16 min to answer questions.

Do you remember if you were able to use line counting for top front end?

great job! i use the same method with the destroyer. what did you do to prepare for reading?

CONGRATS! You did great! If you don't mind me asking, what did you find the most helpful while studying biology?
