DAT complete...what are my chances.

I did that calculator thing on this and it says I'm competitive at pretty much most of these schools. However, I'm just so damn nervous about that QR score.
Yeah, in all honesty, it's not too great and something to be mindful of.
What are your BS, GC, and OC scores?

Watch out for that GC score.
I hear some schools have a cutoff of 18.
I heard this about NYU and Tufts... Not sure how well enforced this rule is.
I would also suggest investigating DAT cutoffs at each school prior to applying, just to be certain you're not throwing your money away.
Otherwise, you seem like a strong applicant. 🙂

I called Tufts and they told me that the ONLY scores they look at are the: AA, TS, PAT, and RC. I was told this from 2 different people. I dunno for sure though I guess.
Tufts says a lot of things...
I heard that they'll gladly accept applicants that have community college (CC) credits (and even encourage them to pay their fees), in the end they really don't accept applicants with pre-reqs taken at a CC. It's like they just take the applicant's money 😡 😕

Remember.. you are getting advice from PRE-dents. many who have not been accepted to dental school, have no idea what schools ACTUALLY think, and speculate on many subjects. Not to say they're wrong, but take it with a grain of salt. If i remember, i think i had a 15 QR and got accepted to 3 schools, so it's not impossible.
also, yes it does seem some schools just like to take your money and not give you a chance in hell. You can apply to many schools and hope for interviews, or re-take and increase that score and maybe have an even better chance. It's up to you, but nobody can really tell you what your chances are. The schools might though if you call and ask. good luck

Thanks for the kind words. I'm also in the first mailing if that helps. 😀

Pre-dents or dental students, no one actually knows how the decisions of the adcoms are actually brought about unless on the committee itself. 🙄
😉
what you are talking about is a 7 yr program they have that includes a bach and dds together. I actually have a friend who applied after 2 yrs of Community collge and got into that program.Tufts says a lot of things...

Yea it's on there. It's explained in there. It says something like AA/30 x sGPA + cumGPA. Or something like that...i'm going off of memory.

Science GPA x [DAT AA/30]x4 + Overall GPA= your score
Then compare your score to the chart assembled by DocToothache:
