Hey guys! I am new to SDN, but I wanted some feedback from my peers on my score and what I should do next.

I took the DAT for the first time yesterday, here is my breakdown:

BIO:19
G CHEM: 19
O CHEM: 22
PAT: 18
READING: 20
QR:17

AA:19
TS:20

I think I am content with my score. I have an overall GPA of 3.7, and I am really involved in extra-curricular activities ranging from interning, to community service, you name it, I got it.

I just don't want the DAT to be a big blemish. The score I got is pretty consistent with my practice tests with Kaplan and Top Score, so I don't want to risk taking it again and doing worse.

Also, I am not applying until next cycle....

You will get in somewhere. Your GPA and scores are good for state schools and the private schools. You are below average for the high end schools like UPenn and Harvard, but your EC may compensate for the low DAT.

NICE SCORES....GOOD JOB....ESPECIALLY KEEPING THE GPA...U WILL DEFINITELY GET IN! 👍😀

Congrats! I'm sure you'll get in somewhere. I actually have the exact same GPA, and here's to hoping I do as well as you on the DAT. I'm just wondering, what resource(s) did you use for Bio?

Thanks guys for all the input so far!

As for studying the DAT in general I used Kaplan, and did Top Score for more practice. The bio was difficult, there were microscope slides, and just really detailed questions that I had never encountered before. The g-chem expected. The o-chem, I actually never did that good on practice tests, so that was a good plus. PAT, I did way better on Kaplan stuff, though they are easier, but I thought I would do better. The math I usually don't get below a 19, but I don't know what happened...overall I guess I am content. I didn't study a lot compared to most people, I studied the hardcore for about 5 weeks.

And good luck on taking the DAT's next week!!!

Wait...there are microscope slides on the DAT?? Like a real picture of a slide???

Congrats, nice solid scores and sweet GPA. Applying early I hope, because seems like a definite admission somewhere!

Best of luck!

BTW What did you use to study for other SDNers.
