I believe I came across a kaplan strategy for solving a problem like this last summer, but I am coming up blank on it. I know the answer, but could someone explain how to go about getting it? Thanks

Question 88 from DAT Destroyer:

A bowl contains 1000 tickets numbered, between 1 and 1000. What is the probability that a number is between 10 and 90?

90-10
=80
+1 since you start at 0 and end at 0

so 81.

there's a 1000 numbers in there

81/1000

I believe it should be 90- 10 = 80 - 1 = 79 since 90 and 10 are not included.

So is the answer 79/1000?

"Between" includes 10 and 90 just as "between" includes 1 and 1000.

"In between" would not include 10 or 90.

+1 for vindicate
