DAT destroyer ?

i'm considering about buying destroyer or not. i looked over the sample questions. some of them too hard?? 🙁

My big day is 12th sep. my top score and achiever score range pretty low.. 17~18. i need to study more.

is it worth to buy? dat destroyer... There are less than 200 questions for each section. ( I expected more questions.)

any comments and advice welcome!

im taking my test the 11th, just got my destroyer a few days ago, and have been through more than a few times. trust me, those "100" questions per section cover more than enough of what you need to know. AND if you ever have any questions, theyll be happy to talk to you and help. if you havent ordered it yet, youre wasting study time. (in conclusion, i think you should buy it )

i have a question. did u take the organic odyssey too? actually i didn't take o chem class yet(i'm gonna take it this fall quarter.) my o chem score (top score and achiever) around 17

if u study the odyssey too, would u give me some advice?

I got my Destroyer only a week before my test (which) happens to be tomorrow and I would undoubtedly say it is 150% worth it! We will really see tomorrow!

I suggest get the destroyer and cease all other study materials. Stick to it, know it cold, do great.

Mine is on the same day. no joke i didnt get much of orgo,,but w. destroyer,i really love the road mapping it has, and the explanation are god, clear, n helpfull..!!!! definitly recommended

About the destroyer:

I just took my DAT exam and i used the destroyer for the sciences, topscore for timing and Kaplan for PAT. I did well and I was very pleased with destroyer. If you can do those problems, you can do anything. Besides the info, if you need help on the stuff or you need some DAT tips Romano knows it all and he was a big help.

I would highly reccomend getting the Destroyer. I used the Destroyer to study for the sciences and the math sections as well as some Kaplan questions. I just took the DAT's 2 weeks ago I did pretty well thanks to the Destroyer. My scores for those sections were:

Orgo: 29
Bio: 22
Chem:21
Math:21

If you are able to do the problems in the Destroyer, the actual DAT problems will seem much easier.

Buy it now!!! This is what I have been needing all along! A book that gets straight to the point, simplifies everything, and offers tons of great practice. As if it couldn't get any better, Dr. Romano & Nancy are amazing. I sent them an email Thursday night asking them to deliver the material ASAP. I kid you not, 2 hours later, Nancy called FROM FEDEX to tell me she was overnighting it to me! I recieved it Saturday of a holiday weekend! Unbelieveable. I got started right away. You know how the Kaplan subject tests are just so daunting and you have to force yourself to get though them? Not so with Destroyer, in fact, you just want to keep going. I can't explain it; you just have to see for yourself. Dr. Romano & Nancy want to see their students succeed, and they will put in the time to help you do so!

I posted this 12 hours before I took my test. Now you can see my scores and I can truly say without a doubt that the DAT Destroyer was the BEST $150 I HAVE EVER SPENT! So many questions on the test were verbatim in destroyer or so close I didn't even have to think about the question. Buy it, even if you only have a week left.

I bought two of the EC books and they were nothing compared to the Destroyer in terms of focusing attention on necessary concepts. Remember that EC books were designed to give you help in each particular subject and are much more difficult because they are meant to prepare you for the MCAT. The destroyer was developed through Dr. Romano's research and focuses on DAT specific material, that is why I believe the destroyer has an edge above the others.

If you haven't already purchased the Destroyer, I would highly recommend it. It is really comprehensive and a great review.

I got it because I hated doing problems from my chemistry books... most of the time they are too in depth, and don't have pretty numbers that make the math easy to do in your head. Destroyer was able to give me that.

I haven't taken my test yet, but I'm confident that the Destroyer will have a positive impact on my score.

Plus, Dr. Romano and Nancy are AMAZING!!!

All I can say is that the destroyer is on the money and it was worth every penny. Know how to do every problem in that book and you are set! The material is comprehensive and the explainations are clear.

I highly recomend the destroyer and wish you guys all the best on the DAT.

EK not EC. I like EK personally. Dont have the Destroyer but I think EK would have more resources at their disposal than a 2 person company. And if you can handle the EK 1001 questions, I'm pretty sure you can handle anything. Plus is so much cheaper. I know everyone rags on topscore but I think it's a pretty solid package. The Blue book has more than enough info for O chem and Bio if you read it 3 times. It sucks on practice problems, pretty much nonexistent, but overall it's pretty concise IMO.

You did awesome on Organic! I got DAT achiever (but not the Orgo Bonus book). Did you get that super high orgo score cause of the 'bonus' book, or was orgo always pretty easy for u?
