..first of all your posting in the wrong forum...

...secondly the DAT Destroyer is copywritten and it can't be resold, Nany and Dr. Romano make that very clear.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be willing to sell you a used copy.

I myself wouldn't feel comfortable doing that. I've spoken to Nancy on the phone and she is just so nice! I wouldn't feel right not paying for their product when they've spent so much time developing it. I also respect them a lot and appreciate their efforts . . . which probably has something to do with why I feel they deserve to get paid!

I know a lot of people will disagree with me and say "who cares, it doesn't matter" or "do what's good for you" They are entitled to their opinion, and of course I'm entitled to mine!

But in light of how much dental school will cost in the long run, $150 isn't such a big deal.

jackbauer!

i don't agree that it's "illegal" to sell the book; however, you'd be making a huge mistake if you didn't buy it direct because you won't get to talk with the orgoman unless you purchase the book from them.

Thank you for all of your opinions. I have purchased a lot of study materials (Kaplan, examkrackers, barron's, etc.) new and found that they didn't help me. So at this point I wasn't sure about spending another $150 just based on opinions.
Why does everyone think the DAT Destroyer is so much better?

If you were not helped by the study materials you already bought, then don't buy another study guide.
DAT Destroyer is a study guide. It has practice questions with detailed solutions.

Some people's learning style is to study on their own. If study guides/other materials don't help you, then save your money and don't buy more.

Plenty of people take the DAT after studying on their own or even after not studying much at all. If you're motivated and bright, that may be the route for you. And as a disclaimer, I'm not saying that people who buy study guides are not bright (ie - I bought the DAT Destroyer) Everyone just has to figure out the way they learn best.
