Hi everyone. I just wanted to tell people studying for their DATs to purchase this book called the DAT DESTROYER. This book shows a great deal in comparison to the Kaplan books that only test you whether or not how one will score on the Kaplan DAT Practice Exams. That’s what I got while taking Kaplan courses. After the Kaplan course I took the DAT and did horribly on almost every section. So I decided to take the DAT the second time so I purchased the DAT Destroyer, which was hyped up by people from SDN. It is really true that I learned much more than I did in Kaplan. The DAT Destroyer is pretty hard but its themes were very similar to the type of questions I had on my DAT. Also, besides the DAT Destroyer people should purchase Achiever. I heard it is also pretty good.

Yeah I think destroyer is pretty good, too. I would have liked to seen it put together a little more professionally, though. It seems like parts of the book were rushed a bit and could have been put together in a little more organized fashion. However, I would take slightly sloppily assembled good material over pristinely packaged lesser quality material any day.

Yeah the Destroyer is definitely awesome. I agree that it is hard material but at least it tests and teaches the right stuff. Clearly using just one source for studying isn't the best policy, but I guess if I had to choose just one then it would be The Destroyer.

its not an advertisement. It really does prepare you really well. It like taking kaplan and the basics to the next level. Not only that you get the help of Dr. Romano.

So yeah the books are pricey but worth twice as much because of all the attention you get just buy purchasing one of their books. Alot of people talk about their work on this forum for the fact that their material works and people that do kaplan alone usually just make 18s and 19s.

FWIW, I bought Destroyer. I am studying for the DAT this summer. Everyday I write down in this online journal what I studied (exact page numbers and everything) as well as my thoughts. I am going to post it on here as a guide when I finish the DAT. It involves Kaplan Blue Book, Kaplan Course materials, Destroyer, Achiever, Topscore, Cliffs AP Bio, etc. I am studying to ace it, and when I do, I want to show you all a step by step guide to doing it.

i think that an AWESOME idea... I'm basically doing one as well now, but more so to keep myself on track, and see how much progress I make. When are you taking the DAT?
