So just got done with the DAT today.. breakdown to follow

really not sure if I can cut down my school list now or if I should stick with some safeties in there...

Im an international student( not just canadian but from a real, different country😉 ) and I go to UPenn undergrad with a crappy gpa and science gpa~ 3.5. I had the audacity to report my scores to Columbia and Harvard and UCSF. I havennt applied yet and Penn doesnt send out rec letters till September so I cant be "early" no matter what thanks to my great alma matters mass student handling policies.

Do you guys think Umich and Uconn and Pitts would be sufficient safeties for me?? international is key..

am also SELLING destroyer and kaplan subject tests and exams and flashcards and other kaplan class crap + cliffs

Bio: cliff's, campbells chapters here and there but ended up using knowledge from 9th grade biology on two questions of random muscle groups. my bio was ALL random... no taxonomy... just literal Random stuff

Orgo: I aced everything and got 30s in practice tests. This was my THING. wonder what i got rong on the real DAT since it was my lowest percentile( 94)... anyhow i used Chad. and that was all

GC: Chad. period. I SUCKED at gen chem by the way.. still do in things... was ridiculously easy and short on the test and i think its graded easier too. again. one word: CHAD

RC: tried search and destroy..was scrambling for time so switched to Vicivipers which frustrated me a lot at first but then i took a chance anyway and worked on teh test. Dint get pianoed. had somthing about bones, and herbal meds and TB i think..was maddd easy... especially compared Top Score and achiever

QR: EASIEST ive ever seen. I left 3 questions unanswered... not because of time but because there was a power surge in QR. whatever. I had never finished on time except the kaplan stuff ... practice. MADD basic stuff...just all bout practice

PAT: MY WORST ...EVER... teh night before I was up till 4 am CRYINg cuz i got YET another 18 on CDP with patern folding and cubcounting untouched. just prayed a lot and kinda went into it. EVERYTHING was MUCH easier than CDP . Hole punching was very reminiscent of Top Score... Their grid too , not cdp grid...
and angles wer SUPER easy... as was pattern folding....TFE was CDP level and jey holes was half a degree harder

so thats it...PM if u have any questions or wanna buy my materials..

ALso, achiever was spot on for Bio atleast

Great scores. Good job.. I think those scores will definitely cover your international status.. I thk you have great chance for columbia.. not sure about harvard and UCSF(i just don't know too much about their avg acceptances w/ regards to DAT and international status..)

Told you you would do well 😛

Ivy leagues and UC students know how to take tests well, no matter how low our GPAs may be.. haha

Mich and Pitt are definitely safety for you. UConn is kinda up there, but I think it also may be a safety for you.

3.5 from Penn is much more respective than most of the 3.8/3.9's out there. I know how much people study there, as I've got few friends going there currently as undergraduates.

Apply to NYU and Tufts! Now those are real safety schools.

NYU doesnt take internationals... I feel like I wouldve been ok if i was a citizen or something...

What about BU ?

Also, I am wondering what is important and what is ot so imp in DAT scores. Like is the TS what schools look at or the AA? does TS mean total science? lol... dont know too much about the process after this...just realized

I watched Chad and then went to destroyer and am getting raped in all the

problem solving questions... I heard DAT is more direct tho, true?...

anyhow.. I'm taking DAT in 2 weeks and currently finishing destroyer once now..

would i be set for topscore and achiever?

the real thing will have like maybe 2 questions of destroyer quality in GC n Orgo...

Chad covers it all though... i thought atleast... also read chad's forums ...nmr splitting is imp to get.. conceptuLLY

lol that was my first instinct too... then i realized i still have to pay those damn fees😛

downed a lot of money on the stupid DAT and it SOOO wasnt worth it... madd easy

Im from Pakistan and yea tell about the whole international thing. Sort of annoying. And then theres the impossibility to finance it unless ur an international arab oil prince cuz u cant get loans without a US cosigner..

Destroyer bio is too random but I made notes from it as I did them...also I would ignore all those detailed taxonomy questions when u get to top score tests...

for rc... i just did two of the kaplan passages and all the top score and achiever ones... its just SAT style so if you;re and Ok reader ur good.. English isnt technically my first language i guess and i was fine..
