Hi everyone!!!
Just took my retake, not THAT happy, and I need some advice. I didn't sign up to send my scores to any of the schools b/c I didn't know how I would do. So I need to know if my scores this time around are better:
1st Attempt/2nd Attempt
PAT: 19 (76.8)/16 (36.7)
QR: 18 (74.1)/16 (50.9)
RC: 17 (26.3)/21 (80.2)
Bio: 18 (65.1)/19 (75.3)
GC: 19 (72.4)/21 (86.2)
OC: 19 (73.9)/22 (89.8)
TS: 19(76.7)/20 (84)
AA: 18(63.2)/19 (84)

So clearly, PAT is ruining my life, lol. My top choice is UF and i guess i have to call them to see if they have a cutoff. I'm so depressed, I kind of want to cry. Please let me know what I should do (be honest!)

science scores look awesome. What happened on PAT? did you use CDP?

noooo...i just figured since I did well-ish the last time, I would do fine this time. during the test, i ran out of time, so I knew i wasn't going to improve, but i didn't think i would decrease 3 pts!!!

what should i do??

I think most schools are getting pickier about the PAT section...I know a lot of them have cutoffs at 17 but since u did well the first time maybe they'll take the higher one??? Don't know man 😕

Great job on the sciences. Unfortunately your drop of 3 points in PAT is looking like it might be a problem. I think schools can understand a drop by a point but to drop 3 might indicate to them that the first time was a fluke. Also whether you send these scores or not, schools will see them anyway when you eventually apply so you might just want to call up some schools and ask them about your situation.

well, they have a copy of the first scores, so unless i choose to send them this new set, they will never know. so, im not sure what to do.

Oh ok, i see, you already sent in your app with your first round scores. Well it's going to be your call, if the schools you applied to pay more attention to the science portions, then send them your new one for sure. Otherwise it's really a judgment call. You should contact the schools and ask them what sections of the DAT are most important to them.

yea, that's my plan. does anyone know off hand if UF cares or has a cutoff? also, is one set of scores better than the other?
