Obviously not too happy with my QR score but the questions were so weird... simplified answers were never to be found and they seemed to always be really complex. What do i expect tho? after using ace the dat as my only math prep I would recommend to EVERYONE that you find some other supplemental materials.

are you referring to CRACK THE DAT math? if so which package did you buy? it didn't compare at all? a lot of people said it helped them, but are you talking about crack the dat math?

you think so? i'm a little concerned... but i'm gonna spend some time on the phone with schools and see what they think... i know some schools are gonna tell me "retake"

I think youll be alright but I would call the schools and make sure you meet the DAT section minimums

I would think about retaking, especially since QR and OC are the only sections you need to work on, which should not be too hard.

I think that you score are fine except qr. OC 17 can be forgiven, if you got good grades from ochem classes (b or above). Talk with the school you will apply (but these scores will probably provide acceptance for some DSs).

I've had some questions regarding what I used for prep... here is what I used and what i would recommend.

PAT -

mostly used acetheDAT (AtD) for my PAT prep. This is pretty much the only thing that this website is good for... the PAT problems on acetheDAT (AtD) were all much more difficult than what was actually on the real test. It will prepare you well for keyholes, TFE, and folding. It will OVER prepare you for angles ranking... AtD has some of the hardest angle problems i have ever seen. If you can master them you can pull off a 24 no problem... (if you need to prep for cubes and hole punching then you might not want to be a dentist... they are pretty easy regardless. but if you want practice then AtD is where you'll find it)

RC Prep (no not the stuff you use for root canals)

I scored 28s and 30s on most of my RC practice tests and I thought I would have done better. AtD does not prepare you very well in this regard. There were a lot of "statement" questions, meaning a statement about the article was posed and then they asked you what the reasoning was behind said statement. The questions were much more analytical than just straight forward questions.

I would recommend reading something complex on a daily basis. NY Times, Washington Post, etc. Just make sure you are reading articles that are written by actual intellectuals, instead of people who take your money to help you prep for tests 😱

For the sciences i would recommend Kaplan, AtD, and DAT destroyer👍
All really good for prep materials

no sorry... i did use CDP but i'm sure it's better than ace the dat

i never heard of ace dat pat, but the crack dat pat is a definite buy. good job, but definitely call the schools for cut offs. apply early and i think you will be ok.
