That was draining,

PAT 23
QR 18
RC 25
B 20
G 19
O 19
TS 20
AA 20

I've been out of school for almost 10 years now and decided to give this a shot.

Spent the last 3 weeks relearning all of general chem, learning Ochem and Bio (never took those classes) with the Kaplan white book.

I have to thank that person that posted the ATP and exergonic, what a stroke of luck.

Bio is completely random and I'd have to say the questions in Kaplan are not very similar to the test. Luckily I actually sat down and read the damn book's bio section twice.
Had a bunch of calculation stuff on my gchem and I was running out of time so I rushed through the last few. I should have done much better on this and I knew exactly which 5 questions I got wrong. Twice I forgot to convert to K even but I didn't have time to go back =(. I'd say kaplan does a very good job with this.
O chem I was scoring like 12-13 on the kaplan tests, but I buckled down and memorized as many reactions as I could. I ended up getting two reactions that I didn't even see in my studies. Kaplan did a decent job with this considering I had to actually learn orgo.

Was most disappointed with QR. I'm a math guy by nature and I was doing 26+s on all the kaplan ones. I got stuck on 2 problems and it chewed up 6 minutes of time!! (I wasn't watching the clock!!!). Ah well.

And yes, those angles are like 1 degree apart.

So here's the worry part, are there any schools around the NY region in that DAT range?

can you give a reference to the ATP and exergonic you mentioned. thanks

Good job with your scores, especially being out of school 10 years and learning everything in 3 weeks. You can apply to NYU, columbia, buffalo (all in NY), depending on your GPA. I have a question though, you said you never took the classes for ochem, bio, so how can you apply to dschools since they are required classes to take?

You have very solid scores! Don't worry about your QR score. And yes, I believe there are many schools in your area who would gladly accept someone with your stats.
Good Luck!

Achy, Congrats on your scores! I took mine today as well, and i know exactly what you mean wen you say its draining. LOL But it think its all downhill from here (until DS starts of course)! Gluck the rest of the way 👍

I think I passed out when I got to QR, probably why I dwelled on a question for 3 minutes.

People aren't joking when they say take all 15 minutes for the break.

It's damn important.

I'm confident that with your scores someone will take you. The DAT certainly does not reflect intelligence 100%...If you have other certifications and such to prove yourself, you most definitely will get accepted. Best of luck!
